Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating a Rhyver account, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 or older to use Rhyver.

3. Accounts

• Tenant accounts are currently available at signup. Landlord accounts are marked "Coming Soon" and not yet open for registration.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You agree to provide accurate information during signup and verification.

4. Rental Reputation and consent-based sharing

Your rental reputation profile (verification status, history, ratings) is only shared with a landlord when you explicitly consent. Rhyver is not a party to any tenancy agreement between you and a landlord and does not guarantee tenancy outcomes.

5. Verification services

Verification is a paid service processed through our identity and payment partners. Verification results (e.g., "Golden Tenant," "Verified Tenant," "Conditionally Verified") reflect the information available to us at the time of verification and are not a guarantee of a tenant's future conduct.

6. Marketplace, listings, and ratings

• Outgoing tenants may list apartments; artisans and local businesses may be listed on the platform. Rhyver does not guarantee the accuracy of third-party listings and is not a party to any transaction between users.
• Ratings and reviews (including landlord ratings) must be honest and based on genuine experience. Rhyver may remove content that is false, defamatory, or abusive.

7. Payments

Payments are processed via Paystack. Fees for verification and other paid services are as displayed at the time of purchase.

8. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to: submit false information, misuse another user's data, post defamatory or discriminatory content, or attempt to circumvent verification or security measures.

9. Limitation of liability

Rhyver provides a trust and reputation platform but does not guarantee the conduct of any landlord, tenant, artisan, or business listed on it. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rhyver is not liable for disputes arising between users.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Rhyver after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

12. Dispute resolution

Disputes will first be handled through Rhyver's support channel below. Unresolved disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.
